I was thrilled to harvest these beauties from the 2 bags Mr. Allen and his garden clubbers planted back in the spring... such a lovely looking crop...
I took them home, scrubbed them clean and made an enormous Gratin Dauphinoise which was such a big hit at last years food tasting.. it is sitting patiently in my freezer ready to be devoured come the Fall!
After consulting various gardening gurus all over the globe I finally harvested our garlic. They weren't as fat or enormous as I had hoped for but am hoping they will still taste good! I now have to hang and cure them apparently. I also harvested about 15 sunflower heads which had all gone over - they are also drying out in a closet at home and I plan to harvest and store the seeds with kindergarten children again as we did last year.
